Café Mountain - The Story So Far: Part 2

Perhaps one of the most prominent parts of the Café Mountain story so far is its 34 year old heritage.

The brand first appeared on supermarket shelves and in convenience stores in 1990.  The instant coffee was launched by Unilever as a sister blend to the popular Red Mountain and was a popular addition to family households, offices, factories, building sites, tourist attractions, and catering kitchens alike. With a mild and mellow signature taste, Café Mountain was suitable for all walks of life. 

Today, Café Mountain has an updated taste profile to suit the palette of busy, modern day households and businesses.  The flavour is stronger and more distinct, due to the expert blending of just the right balance of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans. The Arabica bean gives a smoother, sweeter component to the coffee, with the subtlest hint of fruit and berries. The Robusta bean, on the other hand, gives Café Mountain that stronger, more bitter element to really pack that punch on your taste buds. A cup of Café Mountain can be brewed in an instant, making it the first choice for all walks of the modern, on the go lifestyle.

Our master blender has more than 40 years’ experience in sourcing the best coffee beans and has worked consistently to build trusted relationships with bean producers all over the world. This means that buyers can be safe in the knowledge that both the quality and brand heritage will always be maintained.
